Floor Planning using AutoCAD

Centerline Plan

The centerline plan is also created with the help of AutoCAD if you want me to make a video on

Converting Centerline to .dxf Format

After Creating a Centerline plan you can simply save the file to .dxf format

which will be used for importing in Staad Pro.

Working in Staad Pro

As told in Tutorial Video I am just going to write the step performed

Getting Started with Staad Pro

Simply Run Staad pro and if you wish to download Staad Pro click On Button Given Below

Now Crete a New Project and set Unit to Meters and KN/m

Importing .DXF File

Now import the Centerline plan by going to the menu and then Import Option

Select The Centerline.dxf file created using AutoCAD

Set the Option as shown in the rial video


With the help to Draw and modify tool create the complete Rcc Frame


Create and assign the property according to Column Beam plan

Assign Supports

Create Fixed Supports and assign it to the bottom of the columns

After Analysis and Design, we will transfer the supports to Staad Foundation for Foundation Designing.


For G+1+head room, we have created two load categories

Dead Load and Live Load
